New Delhi: A passenger opened the emergency exit door on an Asiana Airlines plane preparing to land on Friday. The plane landed safely, but several people were injured. The Airbus A321-200 was carrying around 200 passengers. The video inside the plane is going viral.
A representative of the South Korean carrier told AFP that when the plane was still about 200 meters (650 feet) above the ground a passenger sitting near the emergency exit “opened the door manually by touching the lever”. Some passengers had difficulty breathing after the door unexpectedly opened, and some were taken to hospital after landing. However, no major injury or damage has been reported.
