Tragic accident in Chambal river: 8 devotees of Shivpuri going to visit Kaila Devi washed away, rescue operation continues

Out of which the dead bodies of 4 have been found. This incident took place between Morena, Sheopur and Rajasthan border. SDRF teams are searching for the missing people through local diving boats. Police-administration of Rajasthan is also on the spot.

In fact, a group of 17 devotees were going to visit Kaila Devi from Chilavad village in Shivpuri district. All were crossing the Chambal river on foot. Everyone made a chain by holding hands. The depth of water in the river was not known, suddenly it started flowing in deep water, only then 8 devotees were washed away in the struggle to escape. In which the dead bodies of 4 have been recovered, the search for the remaining 4 is on.

CM Shivraj expressed grief over the accident

Expressing grief over this accident, CM Shivraj has instructed the district administration to speed up the rescue operation in the Chambal river. The Chief Minister’s Office CMO is monitoring the rescue and necessary help.
