Railway Minister Ashwini reviewed the world’s highest bridge sitting on a trolley, know the specialty and when will the train run?

Jammu Kashmir: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Sunday inspected the railway police being built on the Chenab river at Reasi in Jammu. During this, he also took a ride in the trolley and also saw the 10 km track from Vakkal to Duga in Reasi.

Railway Minister Ashwini said that Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla is the railway line connecting Jammu and Kashmir. It is one of the world’s great engineering challenges. This is an important link in which PM Modi is promoting transformative traffic. There is good development on Chenab Bridge.

world’s highest railway bridge

This bridge being built on Chenab river will be completed in December 2023. Railway Ministry claims that this is the highest bridge in the world. Its height is 359 meters.

It is 35 meters higher than the Eiffel Tower. The total length of the bridge is 1.3 km. 1400 crore rupees have been spent on its construction.

The bridge will be safe even in earthquake

The railway bridge has been made earthquake resistant. Bearings have been used in it to protect it from earthquakes. Its construction started in 2005-06. Its design was approved in 2014. This bridge will be safe for the next 120 years.

Trains can run at a speed of 100 kmph

Trains can run at a speed of 100 km per hour on this railway bridge. This bridge is at a height of 1,178 feet from the river bed. Railway Minister says that it has been constructed keeping in mind things like high speed winds, temperature, hydrological effect. Soon trains will run on this track.
