The company has given information about the new feature by tweeting from its Twitter support account. The tweet reads, “We love bookmarks to save tweets to revisit later. Starting today on iOS, you’ll now see how many times a Tweet has been bookmarked on the Tweet detail.
The company followed it up with another tweet in which it wrote, “Don’t worry though – your bookmarks are still private. We will never show which accounts have added Tweets to their bookmarks.” Users were informed by tweeting on their support page from the company that they are planning to expand this feature. Both author and reader will be able to see the bookmark count on the tweets.
