Telangana Fire: Six people were killed in a major fire that broke out at a residential complex in Telangana’s Secunderabad on Thursday evening. After the incident, 7 people have also been rescued with the help of local people and fire brigade personnel. Officials gave this information on Friday. According to North Zone DCP Chandana Deepti, four girls and two boys lost their lives in the incident.
DCP Chandana Deepti said that six people, including four girls and two boys, died in the fire. He was inside the campus when the fire broke out. By the time they were taken out, they were badly burnt. Deepti told that after being taken to the hospital, the doctors declared six people brought dead. Deepti told that 7 people have been rescued from the spot, whose treatment is going on.

The fire started at 7.30 pm
Earlier on Thursday, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Northern Zone Syed Rafiq had told news agency ANI that fire tenders were at the spot and rescue operations were underway. He said, “The fire was reported around 7.30 pm. As soon as we got the news of the incident, fire tenders reached the spot. Presently six fire engines have been pressed into service and more will be sent if required.”
The official said that they suspect that the fire broke out due to a short circuit. A victim rescued from the building claims that around 10 people are trapped on the fifth floor of the building. On the other hand, Telangana Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav had also reached the spot after the fire was reported.
