The party would not like to take the risk of a new president
If the state president of Rajasthan becomes new, then it is natural that the team will also be new. The party would not like to take this risk at the time of elections. The office bearers who are inactive can be replaced.
Party election process in June 2024
According to the constitution of the party, the national president is elected only after elections are held in more than half of the states. National General Secretary Tarun Chugh had said in the past that till the elections are held in the party, the office bearers will work wherever they are. Party sources say that the extension of the tenure of National President Nadda was already decided. That is why the election process in the party did not start before the completion of his term. Now that Nadda’s tenure has been extended by one year, the process of election in the party will begin in June 2024.
Poonia will continue to be the president
In view of the assembly elections, the high command has retained the same team in many states. In such a scenario, speculations are being made that the party will retain Poonia as the state president for one more year without elections.
Poonia became the state president in 2019
Satish Poonia was nominated as the state president of Rajasthan BJP on 14 September 2019 after the death of Madanlal Saini in June 2019. Later on 27 December 2019, Poonia was declared unopposed president as part of the organization’s election process. His three-year term has been completed on 27 December.
