According to information, this is King Charles III’s first conversation with PM Modi after assuming office. During this, PM Modi conveyed his best wishes to him for a successful reign as the monarch of Britain. Several topics of mutual interest were discussed during the call, including climate action, conservation of biodiversity, innovative solutions for financing the energy-transition, according to a statement issued by the PMO on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister commended King Charles III for his abiding interest and advocacy on these issues. The Prime Minister briefed him about India’s priorities for the G20 Chairmanship, including the promotion of digital public goods. He also spoke about the relevance of Mission LIFE-Lifestyle for Environment, through which India seeks to promote an environmentally sustainable lifestyle.
