‘If I bowl to Surya…’, captain Hardik Pandya made a big statement after the big win

New Delhi: In the third T20 match between India and Sri Lanka played in Rajkot on Saturday, cricket lovers got goosebumps after seeing the dangerous batting of Suryakumar Yadav. In the third and deciding match, India registered a resounding 91-run win and captured the series 2-1. The hero of this thumping victory of Team India was stormy batsman Suryakumar Yadav. While batting explosively, he hit 7 fours-9 sixes in 51 balls and scored an unbeaten 112 at a strike rate of 219.61. This was his third century in T20 career. Now he is just 1 century away from Rohit Sharma’s record of 4 centuries.

Surya has been surprising in every innings

After this resounding victory, Indian captain Hardik Pandya said – Surya has been surprising everyone with his batting in every innings. He is just telling us how easy it is to bat. Had I been bowling to him, I would have been disappointed myself watching him bat. Pandya made a special mention of Rahul Tripathi and said – The ball was doing something, but he showed amazing intent, then Sky did his job. You don’t need to tell him anything, he knows what to do. If there’s a situation where he’s unsure, we talk but not often because he knows what to do.

i am proud of akshar patel

Regarding Akshar Patel, Hardik said – I am proud of him because of the way he is batting and hitting in the lower order. This will give him and the team a lot of confidence. The aim of my life as a captain has been to support my players. He is the best T20 cricketer India has produced and that is why we are here. There is no room for doubt in this format. We are supporting the players in the right way. The way we played in the series is pleasing, we didn’t play even 50 per cent of our game in the second game, but still we put up a good fight.
